In January 2025, TVS Motor sold a total of 3,97,623 units, which is 17.12% higher than the 3,39,513 units of January 2024. The company’s growth has been excellent not only annually, but also on monthly basis. In December 2024, TVS sold a total of 3,20,342 units, leading to a 24% increase in sales in January.
Popular models credit for increased sales
This growth of TVS is credited to certain two-wheelers of the company, including Apache, Jupiter, Icube and Entarke. In January 2025, TVS sold 1,74,388 motorcycles, which is 12.07% higher than in January 2024. In January last year, the figure was 1,55,611 units, while 1,44,811 units were sold in December 2024. This means that the monthly sales of TVS bikes have increased by 20.42%.
Tremendous boom in scooter segment
The TVS scooter segment has also seen a tremendous jump. In January 2025, the company sold a total of 1,71,111 scooters, which is 29% higher than in January 2024. In the same month last year, the company sold 1,32,290 units, while in December 2024 the figure was 1,33,919 units. This shows that the sales of scooters have increased by 27% on a monthly basis. This continuously increasing demand shows that TVS scooters remain popular in the Indian market and customers are liking them on a large scale.
Electric scooter sales also increased
TVS’s electric scooter segment has also seen great growth. Especially the popularity of TVS Iqube ST has increased considerably. The sales of TVS electric scooters rose 54.80% to 25,195 units in January 2025, as compared to 16,276 units in January 2024. This clearly shows that Indian customers are now adopting electric scooters rapidly.
Tvs xl moped sales stable, but monthly increase luxurious
Sales of TVS’s classic moped XL 100 also remains stable. A total of 42,172 units were sold in January 2025, while in January 2024 the figure was 42,040 units. This means that the annual increase was just 0.32%. However, if compared to December 2024, then 33,277 units were sold, which saw a monthly increase of 26.75% in January 2025.
TVS’s strong hold and future expectations
This sales of TVS motor shows that the company has a strong hold in the Indian two-wheeler market. Especially the popularity of Apache, Jupiter, NTORQ and Iqube has played an important role in sales. The company’s presence in the electric scooter segment is continuously strengthening. In the coming months, if this growth persists, TVS can set a new record in the two-wheeler industry.
